Second Life now has a Reuters reporter dedicated to covering news related to it. Why the interest? A lot of money moves through the site each day, with real world US dollars entering it as Linden Dollars, and leaving it as real currency too.

Congress is already starting to look over the tax implications, and it won't be a surprise to see Alberto Gonzales and DOJ complaining of the potential for money laundering and terrorist funding too.
