Is Your Business Ready for The Holidays?

I was sitting at home working and had the TV on behind me ( which is something I usually don't do because it can be a distraction ). Nevertheless it was on and there it was people - a commercial for a Christmas CD. IT'S ONLY SEPTEMBER AND THERE WAS CHRISTMAN MUSIC COMING THROUGH THE TV!

It sometimes feels like the holiday season starts earlier and earlier every year and the truth is for businesses ( offline and online ) it truly does. You have to have a Christmas strategy by June and be ready to execute by the ending of September / beginning of October. It used to be that businesses started with the holiday marketing in November but not any longer. With competition being what it is, you just have to get a leg up on the holidays or you can find yourself left behind. Now understanding how your target market treats the holidays, when they begin to think about the holidays, when they begin to shop ( even if only in their minds ) for the holidays can your business hundreds, thousands and, for the really lucky/unlucky ones, millions of dollars.

Now my business is to get other businesses ready for such things, so I ask - are you ready for the holidays?

I saw xmas items in the grocery store the other day. Living in SoCal, it felt kind of creepy...

However, forecasts are calling for record sales this year. Back to school is usually one good indicator. My advice would be to keep in touch with your email list and offer gift certificates up to the last minute.

    Capatilizing on the holiday season

Getting in position to capatilize on the holiday season can be hard since it seems like the holiday season is starting sooner and sooner every year.
