    "interesting" question about keyphrases

well, an "interesting" question about search engines...
in the stats i have in my site (www.zycu.com), i can find the Keyphrases used on search engines
and from time to time, i find this kind of 'keyphrases'...
    4067044171921
    4069127562005
    4056410760852
    3992369449660
    4026245991252
    and so on...

with several results each, around 50 users coming from a search engine with those individual keyphrases, that r just big numbers...

if i google them, i find nothing, also with other search engines ive tried...
what is this?? is it a bug in the stats?? or some kind of weird bot??
i would really thank for a nice explanation! :D

    cya! :)

I thought it might have somehitng to do with Web Trends. Do you use Web Trends? Also are you finding these numbers in the actual raw logs or only in reporting?

So maybe it is when users click on the cache of the website, it sends this numbered keyword? Still this doesn't make sense for my issue. Some months these "keyword referrers" are the top referrers.

yep, same here... not the top, but top 50 at least...

and the link doesnt work, so... i dont know if it is actually the cache! :)

Hi, my first post here *waves*

If there numbers are actually that precise, always the same number of digits, then I'm not too sure.

However there is a technique where you can type in a keyword or phrase followed by some gibberish such as numbers to see what comes up - heheh, and now I'm trying to remember why... I think it's a way of seeing who is paying the most for Adwords, or to see the results without Adwords, or something like that.

It's in my notes somewhere but can't recall where, as wifey keeps moving my paperwork around...
