I am almost tempted to build a Site and place it there to assess value.
The service claims to be going to $360/yr or so after beta. Surely they aren't planning to offer it at that price if the final product is going to be gopped up with self-promotional ads and banners like other so called "easy sites" and "free hosting".
The product needs evaluation and valuation assessment.

I grabbed a few. I just built them with all kinds of links to my other sites. After beta I'll deceide what to do. But for now free is free!
The way I read it initially, is after fees are introduced (out of beta), the beta testers will continue to enjoy free aspects of the service in return.
Did I catch it wrong?

That's the way I read it. So it's free links to your site or whatever you want to do with it. The nice thing about it is right now it won't take html so it won't end up a lot of adsense sites. Also I'm sure MSN will be scanning these sites on regular basis testing their beta programs with their search engines. It really looks like a win-win!
