    No follow abuse

I have been doing some commenting on blog lately not to spam but to create some special bond with the bloggers. However there are times that I really can't do away with attaching links to my comment using the anchor text <a href="...

Well I don't know what happened really but after viewing the source code for such blog I found out that the tag rel=no follow i automatically added. From research I have known that this tag adds little value to the PR of the owner of the linked added.

But Aaron Wall said: If you don't trust the content of a site then why link to it at all? To list it on your own site and then put nofollow on it is to say that you don't trust your own content. Which is especially stupid. And perhaps the quickest way to become irrelevant, if you are an editorial listing company.

Which is which guys? Should I quit my present task?

Reading your post I really can only come to the conclusion that the reason you are blog posting is to get PR and links and not become a part of the community.. It may not exactly be spam, but it does seem that your primary concern is links vs contibuting to the community aspect of wherever it is you are posting..

If the links don't matter then the no follow tag shouldn't matter either.. And if the no follow tag is enough to make you stop posting, then you need to reassess your stated reasons for participating..

    Not really Fey...

I comment on blogs because my prime concern is for the bloggers and other poster to notice me. My valuable comments to their blog topics shall somehow catch their attention and soon they will be interested with me and what my company can do for them.

    I just delete the comments!

At least they are not deleting the comments, just using "no follow"...in my case, any comments in my blogs which seem in any way as propaganda...I just delete them!

Actually, the nofollow tag is automatically added to ALL comments whether they are advertising or not.
