Do you think the 2 seprate versions of Flash MX 2004 is going to be a good or bad thing?
I know Macromedia tried this with Dreamweaver, but eventually put them back together in MX.
What are your thoughts?

One is definitely enough. There's no reason to break it up into separate packages because the things that someone won't use now and think they'll never use, they may find useful down the road and find they then have to upgrade to the "Professional" version. One version with everything (Professional) is fine.

Mmmm.
I wonder if it could be partly in an attempt to cut piracy by keeping the price of the non-pro version down?
Flash must be one of the most pirated applications available.
I don't know - just wondering.

Flash MX 2004 Professional is not just for developers. There are more than a few of us that make up a "Team of One." Developers, no matter how creative and talented, will never replace creative, talented designers or vice versa. Flash MX 2004 Professional is good news for all of us.
I'm still recovering from the "Upgrade from Studio MX" price...
