Does the PR of non index pages make a difference?

    Hi All

Can the PR of other pages within a large site make a negative difference to the overall page rank of the index page?

I read an article recently (which I subsequently deleted accidentally) that suggested that sometimes the page rank of internal site pages can suck the PR from the index page if they are not linked in a precise manner.

Can anyone shed any light on this for me - I've been trawling through the forums trying to find an answer, but nothing yet.

    Regards

    Hannay

    I Found the Article

Just as a follow up, I manged to find the link that I thought I'd deleted.

The points in question are sections 5 & 6.

I'd be interested in any comments as to how accurate you think this is (with no offence intended to the writers of the article).
