Is the update over?
I recently updated the home page of our website by creating a whole new one and using the old one as the about us page. I'm worried that I may loose some of the PR goodness and also does Google know the new page is there....
I will say this, I changed the home page from
../assigns/assigns.html TO
../assigns/index.html
Which is a redirect from the base www.assigns.co.uk domain.
Do you think this will be OK, or have I broken it??
making this thread sticky is great. although i don't fully understand the importance of having a high PR and how would i benefit from it, this helped me a lot.
Well, I hope not ... traffic on one of my sites was increasing, but in the last 24 hours it has dropped 60% or more.Originally Posted by Webnauts

I have a website:
http://www.future-affiliate-marketing.com
one time the page rank is PR=3 but many time I have PR=2?
I didn't understand this, can any one have an idea and we must do?

Gary I think you got something wrong. When we talk about PR here, otherwise called PageRank, it is what you see in the Google green toolbar if you have installed the extension in your browser. But anyway the values there are not up-to-date or accurate, so not worth to install it.Originally Posted by Gary Golden
I suppose you are talking about your rankings in search engines. In other words your positions. :)
