I know I may have some issues with title and meta description tags and some graphics on IE but - looking at it from a consumer perspective - how would you regard this site?

It looks nice.
It might be because I'm used to working with the US sites Autotrader.com and Cars.com but it seems odd that you can only use the more details link to get to the detailed description of the car, you might consider making the thumbnail image and vehicle header into links as well.
For a site like this you will want to make getting to the vehicle as easy as possible. In the search results it also might be a good idea to show mileage for the vehicles as that is a significant factor in a car search.
I think the example of a good ad compared to a bad ad is a nice touch and overall its a pretty solid site. I'm not familiar with any other UK auto advertising sites but I would just look at some of the major car advertising services and see how handle their search results and things like that.
it is attractive.
i have tested the quick search
and it is working very well.
you have provided good information for your visitors.
Looking at it solely as a consumer (not the code etc), first impression is great.
It should supply your business well.
I agree. I did a search to see how it would do (which, it did great btw) and I went to click on the image of the car to view more details but it kinda suprised me when it wasn't a link. Overall, from a consumer standpoint I think the site looks good, and I think it will do great. Good job!Originally Posted by William Satterwhite
I would have to agree with many of the other posters here that it's a clean site. I'm not sure I like the color scheme, but that really is a personal issue. Not a negative with the site.
The note regarding the images being links to the "details" is actually a crucial one. I'm accustomed to clicking on the car photo for more info, so you might want to integrate that.
Outside of that, it looks like a clean, well done site.
