Search Engine Spiders and Drop Down Menus

I recently changed my menu system from a menu on the left side to a drop menu from the top.

This allows more menu items that I think will help visitors find the information they are looking for and takes up less space on the page.

Just wondering what effect this might have on the ability of the spiders to spider the page. The site in question is in my signature.

When I look at the code, all the links are there so it seems like it might not matter, but I do not know.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you very much.

you are fine. although i would suggest taking some of the javascript out of the page and put link to it.

Drop downs are generally not a good idea. Personally, from a visitor point of view, I find it a pain.

I prefer to have the visitor click the main link, then on the resulting page, have all the sub-links right there on the page

It looks like you used a css/html drop down menu which will can be read by the search engines. I think it is easy to use.

I noticed that you have some css info towards the bottom of the page in the code, you may want to move it to your external css sheet when you move the java script to an external file. It will make you page a little lighter.
