Local Builder - please review the choice of logos

Hi - I've put them all on a page at http://www.fourcornersproperty.co.uk/logos.htm for you guys to have a peek at.

If you would be kind enough, please leave your comments. And if you have a logo you would like me to take a look at, please just say, and I'll do what I can!

(Please note, that while the site is 'up' online, it's still a work in progress so no reviews required of this at the moment!)

    Many Thanks,
    Darren.

My take is logo 6. Though number 1 could be adapted to have the corners made bold, leaving the box.

I'm a great fan of logoType, and others may have differing opinions, but for me, 6 is the way to go

    Hi Jerry

Thanks for your comments Jerry - I appreciate them. One vote to Numero Six then. I've amended Number 1 a little and saved it as Number 7 for you to see - is that what you had in mind?

One question - what is 'logoType' anyway - is it a combination of graphics/text I take it? Or is it a company who specialise in logos?

    Thanks again,
    Darren.

    I vote number 8. Def number 8.

You could even incorporate the idea of the colours in 2 for some uses. I'm all for slight variation in logos for certain occasions, or even just a bit of flexibility. I change the colour of our parent company logo regularly to fit with the branding of each of its subsidiaries.

I suppose you could use Google as a good example of logo variation (http://www.imediaconnection.com/content/7732.asp). There is a danger of confusing your audience, but when your brand is as powerful as Google you can play knowing that people will still easily recognise you.

Sorry, I’m getting carried away… back to my point. I like number 8!

    Cheers

    Jude

I like logo 8. Have you thought of having the colours from logo 2 incorporated into the boxes on logo 8?

Just my two quid's worth. :)

Hi Jude- thanks for the comments - have incorporated the colours as suggested - I followed the link above - yes, I do remember when the braille logo was up - it stuck in my head.

There didn't seem to be enough contrast for the letters inside the (now coloured) boxes - I've given each letter a white stroke/outline to try to contrast it more with the surrounding colour, still not sure it's enough though.

Hi dharrison - thanks for the comments - same answer as above I suppose! You can see the new flavour here:-

Hello WomenXtra - thanks for your vote!

    Anyway, here's variation No 9!

    All comments welcome,

    Thanks,
    Darren.

    Windows Logo!!

Actually, that looks startlingly similar to the Windows XP logo on my Start Menu!
