Hey guys. I could use a little help here. I optimize, I check keywords and content, I ask for link exchanges, I set up a link exhange program, I set up an affiliate program, I advertise and then....I check keywords and content again, but I just can't get any kind of ranking from Google, and Yahoo, just barely.
Just for reference:
This is what I got indexed at Yahoo:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=sit...b-t&fl=0&x=wrt
but this is the only top listing I get
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=bar...b-t&fl=0&x=wrt
Then on Google:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search
Wassapaning? What am I doing wrong? My link exchanges only show up in allinurl:, not link:, and they got pages cached back in June of 2005. Some links from these venerable forums show up, but I'm scared that they might be hurting me.
I take part in the sitemap program for both Google and Yahoo. I keep the sitemaps current and I run a new one every week. But alas, nada.
Now, and I'm sure the rest of the clan here at WebProWorld can attest to this, MSN LOVES ME. But MSN loves everybody. I don't get a great ranking for the default page, but my category pages are doing great! I know that MSN supposedly loves spam, and I guess that's true, but does that mean my website is full of it? Is my website a spam criminal? I mean I get great results on MSN like:
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q....com&FORM=QBRE
and
http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q...olt+&FORM=QBRE
just to name a few,(sorry, I don't know if posting all these urls here at the forum is good form, but I need to show examples)and these pages go directly to functional pages where they can see a listing of my products.
But MSN search results alone does not a website success make. I'm starting to feel like "Job" here.
Now, were starting to create articles for topics such as "How to order the perfect hardware for you cabinets" and "How to pick the right security deadbold for your door" and such, and I'm hoping that will give me some help. But what am I missing?
Why does Google hate me?
Why does Yahoo only look at me on Fridays, when it's had a lot to drink?
And why does MSN think I'm the cat's meow?
Any help would be great.
