Problem importing

I'm pretty new to MySQL and PHPadmin.
I have moved my store to a new server and cannot seem to import my old store database into the new one.
I have tried exporting it multiple formats but nothing seems to be working. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

One thing that will be helpful in assisting you is knowing what version of MySQL you're running on each server. Version 5 handles things differently than Version 4 which is different than Version 3.

My provider is running MySQL 4.1.14

Is that on both servers? What about phpMyAdmin versions? Do those match up?
