    www.designheadstudio.com

My site has only been up for a few months now and I would appreciate any feedback/suggestions. I realize that different systems display pages differently and am worried about weird things happening that I may not see on my Mac.

Thanks so much, and I would be glad to give reciprical feedback (I am a graphic artist (print) but have NO prior web experience).

    Hello,
The site itself looks nice except for two things.

First, The main page has a different layout then the rest of the site. Why?

Secondly, Why are you useing Paypal?!! PayPal may actually prevent your visitors from buying anything from your site. I would recommend getting real ecommerce for your site. If you go to www.opticommerce.com they offer cheap ecommerce solutions. Visit there site between 3pm - 7pm eastern time and click on the "live chat feature" and ask for Stephen. He will waive your sign up completly. Hope this helps.

    Hey,

The site layout is nice and simple. It's easy to navigate around.

I like the fact that not all of your pages have the same layout.

Also, as you have no prior web experience, I suggest you have your main page we a "updates" page. And add it to your links at the top of each page.
Having an "updates" page will tell the people who visit when was the last time you updated your site and how you updated it.
    Example.
Jan15, 2004: Hello, I just updated the site with two new gift cards.

Or something like that. It might make it seem a bit more professional.

Thanks for taking the time to review my site. I designed the home page different to be somewhat like the cover on a book--simple with just a synopsis of what's inside. I chose PayPal because they are very reputable and only charge a percentage for actual sales. What is the problem with PayPal? Is it because you have to sign up?

    Veraca,
Thank you for your input. You are so right. I need a "new cards" page.

    You're welcome. ^_^

I think it shouldn't really be a "new cards" page but more of an updates page that tells the viewers when you last updated and what you updated/added to.

The updates area would be good to either have a link to a seperate page of that titled "updates" or put it on the main page with that card picture.

Oops. Do you just get it on the "contact" page or other pages?
    Thanks, Judith

I didn't even get that. Strange. Perhaps something in the website coding has been changed since I took a look?

I guess you should just close that window and leave it to the webmaster to deal with it if they can. I'm not sure. I've never gotten a message like that on a website unless they don't allow right-clicking but then it's a warning window that says "please don't copy this layout or coding" or something along those lines.
