I bought a lot of ebook about affiliate programs or how to make money online. The examples are get pay for surveys online, data processing online, EBay reselling, Google adwords, affiliate programs, reselling cd roms, rewriting ebooks.They are great ideas.

I tried to follow these get-rich-quick programs. I never succeeded as the writers boasted. However, I do make additional income besides my full time job every month.

So every affilliate marketer must have a realistic goal. Don't quit your job before your program generates income 2 times than your salary. Otherwise, small revenue will discourage you to continue your program. And you will keep finding get-rich-quick programs. You try and quit. That only makes ebook writers rich.

Find a good program. Stay with it and work hard. Success is just a matter of time.

Ah but not forgetting there are those "super affiliates" out there making $250,000 or more per year - yes its true.

BUT they are NOT the ones writing ebooks - it is generally the wannabes (those who may thing they are doing well and telling you about it to sell their books- who do the writing!!

I have a few posts on by blog PlusOne - Musings of a marketer (search the word affiliate) with what I believe is good sound advise - none of which will make you rich, but will help avoid some pitfalls.

Now here is the secret of big bucks from affiliate programs...learn how to make use of data feeds and publish on your own shopping site - that is how THEY do it. I'm not a coder - I don't know how, which is why I just make wages from affiliate programs.

Nice advice and nice information you got there. I absolutely agree with you. I honestly don't believe in get-rich-quick schemes. Earning money is never easy. You have to do real hard work and sometimes even with hard work all you get is still enough for your living. So patience is really the point when you are earning.

Quitting the job is wrong decision. Some time you should work hard to earn out of afiliate marketing. I never read ebooks but quite active on forums, blogs and my only observation is how others doing and constant learning. Am fairly successful and am happy and am damn sure there are big days ahead.

Of course do not quit your job...But, do not underestimate the power of affiliate marketing... If you put some time and effort into you can see substantial gains! Take a moment to do some research and you may find that it is for you!

This is what it is all about "time and effort". If you haven't got the patience to stick with
a company and build your organization you will be at a constant starting over position.

Look at Bloggers for example, after building a reputation and being online for 2 to 3 years
they are a lot of them making $3500 - $4000 a month on Affiliate sales plus advertising
revenue from their own Blogs. They have a large list of readers and when they have a
promotion usually at a discount price or membership there are always so many of
their readers that buy the product. Some are also involved In MLM as well.

Good post. It is possible to make a lot of money from being an affiliate. It takes time and effort.

My advice would be start slow and read about it in full before taking any project on at all.

At least then you know what to do and what not to do.

Never quit your job until you have money saved and you are earning a hell of a lot of money. Affiliate earnings can change dramatically from week to week.

The problem is, too many people go in too many different directions. Just pick one group of people send them the quality info that solves their problem and you will have a repeat customer for life! People look down on low paying commission products, you can make a lot with that too, because many other top marketers will avoid those niches.
