    That sounds like...

That sounds like a no. ;-)

I've heard of many people switching to a different provider because of their inability to make a Yahoo store rank well. I also know that mendingshed . com (competitor, no link given) has been kicking our butts lately in Google for a search on dewalt parts. That's a yahoo store, and the domain that shows up is store . yahoo . com / mendingshed / dewaltparts.html which tells me it is possible to do, even with the duplicate content that the 2 URL's has given them. It may just take more effort than it's really worth. I would also note that I don't usually see them in MSN or Yahoo SERPs.

I've wondered a time or two, after looking at their page, if ours is over-optimized (http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/dewalt-tool-parts.html )- it comes right after theirs in Google at the moment. But then again, they don't show up at all in the other engines.

If you're taking on that adventure, let us know how it turns out.

I have a client which runs a Yahoo store and we're doing better now then when they started with me :-P -

However, there are many obstacles to overcome - So instead of being able to go "under the hood" and tweak the code, we've been aggressively using sem tactics to bring traffic/buyers to the site.

Specifically, links, articles and rss feeds - and all the while, serps have been inching their way up - but not as fast as they normally do...

Yahoo Store giving me mixed results

I also run on Yahoo Store and have been only open for 4 months but I have had a few sales to keep me running. I just feel that by sticking it out for a year or so I am losing out as my industry continues to grow. It is so simple to work in Yahoo, but what gets me is the fact that my website that I am forced to do within the store does not show good results in the Yahooo SE. I am always worried about my #'s and for some reason they are only coming from MSN right now.
