Thread: How do I talk to someone at Google?

How do I talk to someone at Google?

    Guys
I need some help here. A site I am looking after is in the index, but when I search on the title (even using quotes) of the site, all the links I have created come up but the main site does not.

The site has pages about a book that is being contested legally. I am worried that someone has contacted Google and in some way blackmarked the site. Is this possible? How would I contact Google to see if they have any problem?

There is no problem with the content of the site in any moral way, it's just that the subject objects to it.

No one at Google will talk to you about your site.

    You could try...

You could try following Matt's advice here, but I can't say that this really covers what you've got going on. Worth a shot anyway, but I wouldn't expect to hear back.

That's wierd. I'm sure I've seen threads recently where folks have had a site banned and they 'get in touch' to explain why it shouldn't be.

Iain, firstly please log into profile and add your URL.
The guys are right, Google are not even listed in a telephone book. And if you search long enough you will find offices to write to, but getting individual attention! Well it's almost George Orwell 1984 time.

It is frightening. I found a support forum for them, and do see what appears to be "representatives" in a support sense. But they have gmail addresses and my problems hit a brick wall even when responded to:

    http://groups.google.com/group/googl...39abb6f805e01f

This was the latest attempt to communicate on an issue where a 10 year old site with 100's of listings disappeared totally one day. I have that strange address and will try it with an old fashioned letter this weekend. It is a real headache. I do remember when you could reach the guys at Yahoo, and until about 95 still talked to them often. Then of course they made a lot of money so, they are unavailable like my listings.

Google just do not respond to requests for information like that .... can you imagine how many 1000's they get everyday!!!.

They are in the business of providing search results for searchers. They are not in the business of helping webmasters with ranking sites.

Thanks I'll have a look there. I didn't imagine they answered calls but I thought there might be some email avenues.

No, email, just that public forum. If you note the dead wall now on my question?

I really need to know why he sees returns for onlinetv.com sites and I don't? Do any of you actually get returns that are site pages? Not stories about me or infringers etc? Do you get results on onlinetv.com? How can the guys inside see it and it does not come out?
