How do I provide PDF downloads

Hi Folks,
More questions - I wish to provide some PDF downloads or at least a trackable download for some articles I want to make avaialable from a site Im working on.
1/ how do I provide downloads - script? - is whats an example (free to start with if possible)
2/ How do I track them - registration or other?

A download should just be the normal
Download PDF document

If they have the new adobe acrobat it will probably view in their browser and they can save it from there.

To track it I would have thought you'd need a script. Not sure how to do that though.

Are you hoping that something can dynamically make a pdf from your page? If anyone has a tip on that, let me know -- it would be useful. I think you need to just make a pdf from Word, Photoshop or some other product and link to it like MuNKy said.

For registration, you can use a simple mail form and place the pdf link on the results page.

Is this what you had in mind? This php class converts html pages into pdf files on the fly.
