These are much more powerful than directory links, in that the search engines value links from content pages more.

WEll until this recent google **** up they were ranking top 3 for every single targeted phrase, new pages were being ranked high after just a few days, a good sign of authority.. they are the no1 conference coordinator site across the serps.

Yes I agree in principle on much of what you say and we could perhaps point to you to some of these pages as they could be of benefit to this companies clients.. However these suggested pages are not even cached by google so it would make sense for them to do this with a higher rated weather site would it not?
