In shopping Cart, but no purchaseing?

Hello ALL! www.DormGear.net is my college based website that sells cool dorm items. I see that people have been placing items in a cart, but no final payment! Why? Why are people not continuing with the purchase?

    thank you

It's most likely that they're trying to figure out what the final total would be if they were to order. In a quick look at your site, I didn't see an easy way to get shipping charges without doing exactly that. They probably didn't see one either.

They're probably trying to find out what the final total would be. I didn't see an easy way to get shipping amounts without putting something in your cart. Granted, I didn't spend a great deal of time looking for a run down of such charges, but neither would most people.

One of the first priorities of your site should be your product presentation, your current product graphics don't look very professional, it looks like an eraser tool was used but the edges are not well defined, some product backgrounds are white, while others are black.

Additionally, a product description is always a good idea, if you're trying to sell an ashtray, you have to make it more interesting, you have to invoke a reaction from your visitor to buy.

    Example:

Sweet Square Step Design Ash Tray

Description: This uniquely designed, attractive silver finished ash tray is made of durable aluminum and features multiple user access, it's perfect for your next party or get-together.

    ------------------

You've just added lots of value to what would otherwise be a simple ashtray with four holders.

if your provider doesn't allow you to add a description, you should look at a provider who will do so since it's an important part of your sales strategy.

    Best of luck to you,
