site started in april now at pr4 where to go now?

Hi and thanks for all the help in advance...

I have an ecommerce website that sells all kinds of jewelry and such.
the site went live in april for an ecommerce site.
    I'm now at pr4
I know I have to tweak some of my older listings to make them more readable.
last month July I got 1050 product views, 13 carts started, and 1 sale.

the bright artsy pictures are the new ones
what else can I do to improve my sales?
    and my website?

and what can I do to streamline my time I have looked at a few links programs for backlinks and such.

and blogging I am having a hard time keeping up with..

    craftworks.

Just at a quick glance, a few quick thoughts:

Don't worry so much about your PR! If your site is g2g and you're doing what you can to make it user friendly and relevant, the links and PR will come organically, naturally.

Focus on your site and getting traffic, which doesn't always come from links. IMO - You should be working on getting better search engine results which will result in more visitors than having backlinks.

On getting more search engine hits, visitors and potential customers, you need to look at how your site is being viewed by search enginges and if you're doing what needs to be done, or maybe you're shooting yourself in the foot by being too zealous?

ctabuk is being swamped for his valuable services of comprehensive analysis of sites over at his Marketing Strategies thread. You'd be wise to get in on that offer before he gets too overwhelmed, ganing awesome insight to your site, its schematics and how it stacks up against others sites competing for your marktet genre and demographics.

You're likely to find that your title sucks. Actually, his report won't put it some bluntly, but I'm trying to emphasize the need for you to get some valuable, and profitable, insight. All this for the whopping and astronomical cost of .... FREE! Go for it - you've only got traffic, visitors, customers and profit to gain, and nothing to lose!

    Good Luck and Happy Ranking!

Ok my title did suck lol.

I changed it up a bit and re worded my keywords re did a few text links and made everything a bit more relavent, and now I need to know where do I put the <h1> and <h2> tags?? can they just go anywhere??
and are they just used for more keywords?

    I'm a little confusled..

Did you already change your title? It still seems a bit lengthy.

Maybe something like: Experimental Craftworks Handmade Jewelry Arts and Clothing

If you're title is too long you may be losing emphasis on some valuable content relevant keywords. Also, if you look at most engines, they don't display title in excess of 60 - 75 characters depending on the engine.

As far as employing headings, experiment with a few and then run the page through the W3C Detalied Validator and be sure to check the "Show Outline" option.

No, you should just place anywhere, nor load them with just "any" text.

Try H1 for your site title, H2 for a page title, and H3s and others for paragraph and subparagraphs - just an example, not a hard fast rule; it will vary by page, content, etc.

    Maybe
    <h1>Experimental Craftworks</h1> not Welcome to ...
    <h2>Craft Store</h2> not Enter Our Store ....

The report ctabuk ran for you should give you some good insight to possible wording and usage.

Again, after you've "outlined" your page, take a look at it in your browser to ensure it has the intended effect and then be sure to run it through W3C to see how it appears to bots.

    Good Luck!

    http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=ht...line&outline=1

here is the page with tons of errors and i'm more confused then ever.
I ran the code through the report card and it came up with errors then gave me some *better* code to use I still have errors??

I shortened my title agin lol. so I think I just had the wrong idea that one page could hold all the info I needed to hold. I suppose I need to get in gear and get my other pages up for specific items or keywords. there are so many I can apply to my products hand made artisan fine art gemstone and on and on we have several styles and many diffrent customers. hmmmm..

well I need to figure out hoe to get this page squared away the I'll use it for a template for my new pages.

I want this one the be about a general feel of what we do everything we do just a tiny bit of everything handmade jewlery, hand dyed scarves, tye- dyed underwear I am thinking that is all too much for one page. and I have soem new purses that have just been finished.

but back to the code I think I broke it.
