    Google -- New Color Schemes!

Are you tired of the glaring white background color for Google's search results pages?
I spend a lot of time searching the Web on Google, but white backgrounds on a computer screen is like staring at a huge light bulb -- white backgrounds actually make my eyes go bleary after a while, so "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore." I've created nine Google search boxes. Each one delivers Google results pages in a different, integrated color scheme -- all except three of them having a very dark background color as the basis for the scheme.

    They are:

    charcoal
    navy
    dark green
    dark purple
    chocolate
    dark gray
    tan
    blue
    gray

They can be accessed from the following URL:

    http://www.jeffs-icons.com/My_Google_Colors.html

On that page, I've also included some tips on how to set up your own Google color scheme.

    Limitations:
    * Color-customized results pages are limited to Web searches.
    * You must have a Web site in order for Google to deliver color-customized results pages.

    icon kid,

I like those! There are many times especially at night where I have to turn a light on to help counter the glare.

    Good idea.

That's the same thought that crossed my mind, lol. I bet you could do something like this with the Grease Monkey extension.

I uses your firefox extension all the time mostly because of its simplicity. Grease Monkey didn't fall into that catagory for me.

Yeah, I don't use Grease Monkey either. I haven't seen any uses for it that are "must have". Some people love it.
