Checking site Compatibility on Diff OS ?

    Hello there,
Happy new year first of all..

just wondering is there any way to check whether your site looks perfect under different OS platforms like MAC,Linux etc..

If there any site where we can just enter the page url and get the report...

Asking this coz it's not possible for everyone to buy one MAC machine and all..

actually the same thing had happened to me some time back..i was working on my site, created the layout and all..checked on windows only...it showed perfect layout and table structure in all popular browsers (IE,Mozilla,Opera) but when i checked the same in Linux (Redhat 9) the tables were not properly aligned..i know many will say you should have specified the table width and all but You never know your mistakes untill you find them..

    waiting for the comments..
    regards
    Deep

    Cross browser / platform problems

    Hey there Deep! :o)

Happy New Year to you too!!

There's nothing that compares to owning a Mac for testing cross-platform issues. However, there are other options available. If you're running Linux, you could use Basilisk II to run a Mac OS on the same machine.. and likewise, you could also have Virtual PC running Windows. If you're on a PC, there are Mac simulators available from www.emulators.com (Note: I haven't tried them myself!). The main consideration is the care that you take when writing your code... tools will help, but ultimately you are the one in control! Here are some additional links that you may find useful.
