Pro Store or Yahoo store help!

Alright, so I have been using a yahoo website builder to build my website offline. However, today I saw the ebay pro stores link and it seems like it could be better than a yahoo store, plus it would be 10 dollars cheaper each month. So, in conclusion, which would you recommend? Also, If I am the only person involved with my business, do I need an EIN# or just a delivery vendors license from the state? thanks a lot, jeff.

Since the Ebay option has the ability to tie into ebay, I think it is the better solution. I'm not a big fan of Yahoo Stores, but I do think the other option is a better system.

As far as I know, you do still need an EIN even if it is just you running your business.

Hey, thanks, ya I think i will go with a pro store, since ebay is the better option hands down. I have been doin research, and numerous government people have told me that I don't need an EIN if I'm a sole proprietor, and that I just use my social security number to get merchandise. I'm not completely sure though.

You may be right about the EIN. I thought it was necessary regardless of employees but I haven't had a lot of experience in the setting up of a business.

Just curious, what products are you selling?

I just want to try to carry some clothes relating to bmx/surfing/music, stuff like that. At least with that to start out small.

You might want to reconsider jumping at the Ebay option. I found this interesting:

"Fees pay for the right to sell on ProStores. You do not purchase exclusive rights to Web pages on ProStores and its email services. ProStores may, in its sole discretion, and without Your consent or payment to You, place third-party advertisements on any Web page or email communication within its Service offering."

I read that whole ebay page, I'm not sure if it sounds that bad, but right now I am at a loss for which store I should sign up with. A yahoo store, a pro store, storesense, etc..?? its confusing. I just want to find one that isn't to expensive and that is easy to use.
