I recently "constructed" the above personal-informational web site, dedicated to my Westie. Please let me know your opinion, this is my first time in web designing and feel free to give me any instructions.... some pages are still under construction so be gentle...

Very nice site. You may want to get rid of the back grounds on some of the pages there a little slow to load.

Also you have a lot of pictures on your picture page which makes it slow to load. You may want to make that into two or three pages.

Your nav. menu is the same on evry page which is good.

    Very nice site

i agree with janeth here.....if you stick around here long enough you will find that she is extremely good at accessing all the needed design qualities and you definitely passed the test! nice site; good going for 1st try indeed!

Frontpage (right...thats what you created it in?) can give you wonderful results even if you're just strating out........and this also may be the reason for the slow loading time[ in addition to the jpgs]..... though as there is also a lot of extraneous code that must be processed by the browser, in addition to the IFRAME Ad banner that Generator makes for the pages...well for some reason, like on some of my Macs, takes a an awful long time to call to the URL and load the applet in the Iframe...etc.....

You may want to, in time....give the IFRAME a little "house" to live in so it doesn't look like such a naked ad flying up there for no reason except to entice people to buy stuff.......just recently i was asked to dsign for a client such a "house" for a similiar IFRAME ad.....it. in conjunction with the custom logo i made, made a complete "header" out of the ad if you see what i mean.......here if you wish you can take a LOOK.

i must also add that your site is truly adorable and for a first site it is 100% awesome....i will definitely pass you URL to a lot of dog people i know...( i'm a dog person myself and if you CLICK HERE you will see a neat allergy free dog food site i did in the same "doggie cuttie" style lol.....)

GREAT GOING again....you are a natural in terms of your design sense you will just get better and better w/ time. Good luck!

    DAREN ;-}

I have to admit, the first time I saw this, I immediately sent this link to a good friend of mine. She has a westie and I know she'll get a kick out of the pictures. I also liked the idea of "back" and "next". However, what direction would you like your site to go? Are you selling any goods or services? Or, is it just informational (which it currently seems like to me)? In any case, make sure to target your audience straight from the home page to the specific idea you want conveyed. For example, if you are a realtor, you usually want everyone to go to your real estate listings. The more you target on the home page, the better your chances of inquiries. I hope this information helps...I know it will make my friend smile when she sees your site :)

I thought your site was adorable. I especially like that you wrote as if your pup was talking! I do however agree with Janeth and DAREN, I'm running a cable modem and it took a bit to load. All in all I'd say you did great! Also, Like Brian I passed your site along to a westie friend.

    Nice Site

Nice PINK site, i'm not a great fan of pink but on your site it looks great, and I really like your menu bar, what did you use to create it?

I do also agree with janeth about your picturs page, maybe split the page up into 2-3 other pages or create thumbnails and link to a bigger picture.

    Good Luck

    your site is down

I was looking forward to viewing your site, you are getting great reviews! But it is not available at this time. Thought you would like to know.
Also if you use FrontPage you can get rid of some of the extra code by using code strip at:

I will check out your site later.
    good luck,
