This is going to seem like a weird issue, and it's not mine but a client's.
They have a document that was sent to them in Adobe Illustrator, with the font file attached separately. In this case, the font is a Chinese font. The machine is running XPSP2 (which ir I recall correctly, has language auto-selection).
Every time they try to open the doc, they get "Default Font Substituted for Missing Font" and the Chinese font is substituted. However, they can type with the font fine in Word.
I've seen this issue on occasion in PS where resource use is high and therefore available RAM is low, and that's usually solved with a clean reboot. But...this didn't work in this case.
I'm not sure where else to turn. Any thoughts? Thanks.
