    www.surveybounty.com - effective content organization

    Hello,

I would appreciate a quick review of my site, http://www.surveybounty.com. NO, it is not a link farm - I have original content on the site, and would like to stress that this site is a resource on online survey information, not just a directory of market research companies.

Anyway, my issue is with pages like this: http://www.surveybounty.com/free_surveys/america.html (similar problem with http://www.surveybounty.com/articles/index.html) There are a lot of listings on this page, and I think there must be a better way of organizing them. If I split this page into let's say 3 pages with 5 survey company listings each, would you say this would make the page more appealing?

Any general comments/suggestions/criticisms about the site would also be appreciated.

    Thanks guys! :)

I would say splitting the page would be a good idea nad place the navigation for pages at the top and bottom.

Is there any way of making the space that holds each company a little smaller? I would think it might look better if done this way. That in turn would make your pages a little less long. Breaking this into 2-3-4 pages might be good for some users, I would rather look at it as you have it since all the info you have is right before your eyes. However if you plan on added more companies I would break your pages up into having 10 merchants per page as is.

Your Q&A page has a lot of empty space at the bottom. I would not think you need to break this page up. It does not seem that long to me if you compare it to the other page.

    This what your looking for?

On first impression, your homepage header is much too large. The size causes your page content to appear below the "page fold", especially on a smaller screen resolution.

Don't assume everyone knows to click on a logo to get back to the home page so consider adding a HOME link.

a really nice site design - but I would agree you need to split some information up into smaller lists.

Also, all your header images should be saved as gifs not jpgs - this will stop the distortion on the (generally: photos=JPEG, graphics=GIF)

also I would recommend that the links to the survey sites are target="_blank" as then if people change their mind about a site after flicking through a few pages your site is still open in another browser and not way down on the 'back' button.

Really well designed though and vry visually pleasing with all the relevant info asyou need it - you've persuaded me I'm signing up for loads!

Thanks so much for your suggestions! I'll have lots of work to do once I get home today. And thanks pagetta for your signups :)

Last night I experimented with a new way of listing things. What do you guys think about this format: http://www.surveybounty.com/free_surveys/america.html versus this format: http://www.surveybounty.com/free_surveys/canada.html I know either are not ideal, but wheph, it's turning out to be a challenge!

    Thanks again for your help.
