    optimising flash

i've been asked to optimise a site entirely built in flash. i beleive the SEs are getting better at parsing the content of flash files but i've never seen a flash site rank well for a competitive term (feel free to prove me worng :)

is there any way of optimising a flash site beyond building a html version?

    Wow, you weren't kidding.
    First appearance, site looks good.
I see your problems with the flash.
Why dont you build an .asp or straight html version and run it side by side? That is what I would do...
Honestly, the flash is pretty, but there is nothing too fancy that you cant duplicate with ASP.

I am asking why dont you build a site in ASP or HTML.
Is this an option for you? This will be the only way to get good, natural links into the search engines.

    Whoah, Tim, wasn't that bad...

Is this site really Flash? I see lots of other stuff in that code, but not Flash. And there appears to be plenty to work with for optimization: title tags, metas and text on every page. It has multiple pages which could each contain text and metas and title tags.

Yea Tim. I hear you. I think that was the first time I'd seen the text pushed to that size. Now I know why they have that font size option.... :-)
