Looking to Share Dedicated Server - MS SQL Server 2000

    Hi all,

I have a unique request and if anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it!

I am looking to get a dedicated machine (see below for specs) but I can't afford the $300 monthly. Thus, I would be willing to share it with one other website and each take $150 of the cost. The first month would cost each of us $300 as there is a one-time $300 set-up fee (I have been with this guy with my other clients for two years and he has come through for me everytime). I will let you know if I come across a better deal than this (or if you have a better deal, please let me know by all means):

    - Intel P4 at 2.8Ghz
    - (2) 80GB harddrives
    - 1 GB RAM
    - 1200GB Bandwith/mo
    - MS SQL Server Standard (we bought it already - has 10 CALs)
    - MS Server 2000
    - PHP (we will also be running PHP scripts)

Please call me at: 818-554-9241 if you're interested.

    Cheers,

    Is it Managed?

Do you manage the server - security, update the software, etc. for me or is it just co-location?

The $300 quote (+ $300 setup) I gave includes a managed solution which I forgot to mention.

    Thanks,
    Tim

well I manage only my server :D

but yes the rates include management of server also....check the link I provided, they have different management plans also...

check this page for server manageent plans they have..

    http://www.servermatrix.com/managed_services.html

I think for linux server basic plan is more than enough if you know how to use linux...or you can even go for gold plan which is $50 per month and gives 1 hr a month of system admin..i.e. their person can install any software you want..or make changes in the system as you want...
