Any money in being an affiliate . . . ?

As a little experiment I launched a site to see if it was possible to , not only as an affiliate make money from affiliate marketing, but also as a merchant run a site that is 100% marketed via affiliate marketing.

Initial month hooked in about $250 in sales, by month 3 it hit $4000, month 5 $10,000 and since then hovers between $10 and $12k in sales everymonth.

Each month 60% to 70% of sales come from affilate partners. So in a nut shell yes they can make money, and a merchant can too.

I would hope there's money to be made in it and that everyone has not been discouraged by scams. I've invested considerable thought in applying it to my business through business networking, marketing teams and linking of US sites for sales.
With the polishing of the site coming next week a couple additions added will be the links, help wanted and soon the data bases for direct submissions and data from my associated publishers and marketing teams all thoughout the US.
Just like with my sales, through networking I offer a "bird dog" payment of $5.00 per referral on submissions or $10.00 per yearbook sales. Whether it's word of mouth or site linking, network building is essential in survial to any business or industry and to us the business owners, skepticism is one of our greatest enemies to conquer. So everyone one of us have the obiligation to identify, share information and report those that "scamming" and "burning" others out here in an effort to help make the network self-policing and a safier place for all of us to do business and grow in a free market place. Use the resources at hand to inform all us here through these forums, better business bureaus, local and state authorities and finally the Federal Trade Commission to drive "charlatons" out of our operating environments and we'll have a better and safier business world and fill the gaps by the eliminating of unfair and crooked businesses. Key word "get involved" in as a "pro-active" business or individual and not just except getting "screwed." We pay for the resources to provide these services through taxes and professional memberships; they're in place, therefore fully utilize them for your benefit in the market place. "Don't compete on an unlevel playing field, smoke'em out and eliminate the bad!"
