Like many of you I've watched the recent upheavals in the Google search results with great interest. My site has disappeared from the rankings for some keywords and been untouched in others. Its difficult to know if this effecting site visitor numbers because with a travel related website like mine, I expect a dip in the lead up to Christmas.

What I have realised over the last week or so as I checkout the keyword searches I always do on Google is that a whole new category of sites is showing up in the top 10 or 20 returned by Google. At first there were definite spam sites but these have now gone and have been replaced by the search result pages of other search engines.

This is bizarre. I ask Google for the sites with the most relevance for "american fly drive" and the top result is the results page for "OneBIGworld.co.uk : UK Directory for american fly drive". Surely this is like Google saying 'for this search term, OneBIGworld.co.uk is a better search engine then us' ?
