Adding a Shopping Cart to Site

What's the best way to add a shopping cart to a website. I'd like it simple where I could load images, text and logos without writting scripts. I am doing a catalog layout of products in Adobe Indesign that can export XML or html into Adobe GoLive. Anyone have experience with adding a PayPal shopping cart?

I would like the shopping cart software for a Mac that runs simply with WYSIWYG, not a program that requires manual scripting and code writing.

Is your site hosted on UNIX or Windows?

    Unfortunately, Mac 5, it's not so cut-and-dry
There are many available. some are good, some are bad, some are search engine friendly, etc.

Corey Bryant makes a good point with type of server, but there are many things to take into account.

most WYSIWYG have some type of scripting, they come in all flavours, some are done in php, perl, asp, etc. We know you don't want to write any of it, but we need to know what your host can support.

It's helpful to know as much about your server config as possible. If you're on a free host for example, then you're probably out of luck.

Not sure what you meant about a shopping cart for a Mac, I thought you wanted it on a website.

Our current host also recomended PHP with oscommerce, but we would consider switching hosts. Especially if a host was setup with a control pannel that had shopping cart, database features that were easy to use. A search engine friendly page would be an important feature also.

I would make the webpages on a Mac if possible. I noticed many of the programs that make the shoppingcart sites are only PC based. Our company does have lots of PC's also and employees that are good at making Microsoft Access 2000 databases. I may start out with static pages and a buy now button, but would like to move up to a dynamic database driven site. I have never made a site though that uses a database. I have looked at Paypal and Verisign Pay Flow Pro and buying a certificate.

    Mac,

osCommerce, in my opinion, is one of the best free shopping carts around, tons of features, a huge development community and constant updates. It's a quick one-click install from our control panel.

Thanks everyone for your advice! osCommerce looks like the one to use.
