    Unknown Trojan Horse Detection

There seem's to be enough anti-spyware software arround. But, as we all know, before this sofware can disable such a program, it has to be aware of it.
Can someone tell me if there is a way to detect Troyan Horses and other spyware by constantly watching for active ports in my network? How can I tell if an active port in my network with a unknown IP address=v.w.x.y:z has been opened by a spy?

There is a simple answer to your question. It's called Active Ports - fantastic program!

Description: Active Ports - easy to use tool for Windows NT/2000/XP that enables you to monitor all open TCP/IP and UDP ports on the local computer. Active Ports maps ports to the owning application so you can watch which process has opened which port. It also displays a local and remote IP address for each connection and allows you to terminate the owning process. Active Ports can help you to detect trojans and other malicious programs

Thanks, Wen. It's a pity it only works with NT/2000/XP as there are a lot of other systems still working arround.
