Does Webring = FFA

Hello to all,
I have never really checked out webrings. I have seen some on peoples sites. I was wondering are they like a free for all or are they a good place to go to get links???

I would not compare webrings with FFA´s, since they are significant differences.

In FFA´s, your link will be online for few hours/days, in a webring, you can stay there "for ever".

In FFA´s everybody can post whatever links, in a Webring you have a moderation and can only "apply" for a position, targeting a well defined area.

Also you can doublecheck in a Webring what amount of traffic you can expect, which sites are giving traffic, which sites are receiving traffics and so on.

I does not hurt to be member of a Webring, but do not expect wonders.
