    NEW SEO Site

    SEARCHBRAINS.COM
I’m pleased to announce the official launch of the latest iEntry Networks site for SEO/SEM enthusiasts. Searchbrains.com went live just yesterday and I’m pretty sure the search crowd from WebProWorld is going to be interested in what we’ve put together for you.

As you know, we have been covering SEO and Search heavily for quite some time. SearchBrains is basically a collection of some of the most professional and thorough blogs about the search industry we have found. It’s fully searchable, updated constantly (about every 15 minutes or so) and extremely comprehensive. Check it out and let me know what you think about it.

    Nice work Mike.

I get the Robert Clough (Searchengineguide.com) newsletter everyday and obviously browse WebProWorld as well. I hope your newsletter match with information on the SEO industry!

I am having issue when I try to sign up for the newsletter. When i go to the confirmation page:

    http://signups.ientry.com/cgi-bin/confirm?

and enter my info I get 404 object not found error for this page:

    http://img1.ientry.net/mem_info.php

Please consider this *constructive* criticism: The concept is sound but the practice is not (yet) up to snuff. I’d like to see a better filter in place to separate the wheat from the chaff. Do we really need five links to Howard Stern’s search engine choice? Some of the links lead to a one- or two-sentence dead end. Please, weed out the redundant and useless. Our time is precious!

    Hmmm.

First and foremost I'll see if I can figure out what's going on with that error. You did subscribe just fine I expect but the subsequent page is apparently out of sorts.

As far as the nice work... yes I agree it is very nice but I actually had very little to do with it -didn't mean to sound as if it were 'my' thing. We have lots of talented folks lurking about that you guys don't necessarily see a lot of.

Criticism noted. We'll be tinkering with the targets and whatnot as we get move along. The problem is, blogs being what they are, it's hard to avoid some repetition among them. News is the same way - blogs can be worse.

As for length, we may do something there... but sometimes I think it's better to under filter than to over filter. Part of searchbrains strength is the fact that it will cover things so quickly. Sometime really big breaking news is blogged very briefly at first. I'd hate to cut out someting like:

"Microsoft buys Sun! Details to follow!"

That can't be zapped simply because it was too short. The goal here is: if it's SEO/SEM related (and blogged) - you're gonna know about it here very quickly.

    Hi Mike,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, looks good to me, I just need more time to read all this stuff, the more good sources of information I find, the smaller my social life becomes.

I will be adding this to my SEO news resources to scan for info for my blog
    http://jennietotaltravel.blogspot.com/
to keep our team up to speed on developments.

To overcome repetition we go back and add further links to the original post and anotate accordingly.
