    SEO Extension for Firefox

I just finished an SEO extension for Firefox called SEOpen. It is fairly simple right now, but I have some plans for the future once my skill catches up to my ambition...

Basically you can check Google cache, Google backlinks, Yahoo backlinks, keyword density, PR, and a little more via right-click.

You can read more and download the extension here. Feel free to contact me with bugs and feature requests, I'll add them to my "to do" list and try to knock them out as I learn a little more about what I'm doing...

    SEOpen 0.3

Thanks Martin, I'm glad you liked it.

I just finished an update. New features include:
    • Wayback Machine (Archive.org, called "Archives" in the extension)
    • Ability to check robots.txt (works on sub-domains, too)
    • Google "site:" search (lists all pages in Google\'s index for the domain)
    • Yahoo "site:" search (lists all pages in Yahoo\'s index for the domain)
    • Whois info
    • Cleaner code

I tested it on Firefox 1.0 and 1.0.1 on Linux and Windows. Again, read all about it here.

Help me start a homeless shelter that teaches people business, computers, and finance so they get back on their feet. This is an indiegogo project and I need all the help I can get. Please contribute (even small amounts) and share!

    LOL, PHP on the brain!

I've actually been thinking more about starting to tinker with stuff for Windows (I can hear the linux users cringing). Modifing IE is of course much harder (and often not legal), but I've been thinking about a desktop app for Windows and Linux that uses the Google and Yahoo APIs.

When I come across a new site for me, the first thing to do is a 'right click'. Great tool! Hope there are more features to come soon. Is there something I can cooperate - beta testing, or anything?

    Thanks again,
    Martin

    SEOpen

I'm glad it's being put to good use.

Martin, thanks for the offer to help! This isn't really a brains-type of operation, the biggest help comes from bug reports and feature requests. Also, when you find an online tool that you like to use for SEO, send me a url and I'll see if there is a way to implement it.

    Cheers!
