Are my page titles usable for blind users?

I have added on every "page title" of my web site my company name "Webnauts Net", while I have provided a tabindex with value="1" to the "Skip Navigation" link, so the user can jump from the "browser address field" directly to the "Skip Navigation" link, and so the user would be informed through my title alone, that he/she are still on my web site, without the need to hear the alt tag of my logo.

    Would you consider that usable?

Thanks in advance for your contribution.

That sounds like a very good idea. I am not familiar with text reading browsers, but it just makes sense to get the confirmation in your page title.

Sounds like a thoughtful touch, Webnauts!

    Hi,

Sounds good, but do be sure to put something in the Alt Tag of all of your images, event the title.

There are different ways that the visually impaired access websites. Some will totally rearrange your page, grouping all graphics in one place, links in another, then text in another. The programs also have a tendancy to move everything to the left side of the screen to make tabing easier.

I've worked with the visually impared for years, and it's nice to know that some webmasters do think about them when designing pages.

    Have Fun,
    Jeff

Once graphics and alt tags are mentioned here, would you be so kind to have a look at another thread I have started? http://www.webproworld.com/viewtopic.php?t=34826
