You know you spend a lot of time on WPW when....

You know you spend a lot of time on WebProWorld when....

    ....you dream about posting.
....you dream about posting just to find that you actually did make the post in your sleep!
....you know members and Mods by their first name, but couldn't tell anyone who your neighbors are, or if you even have neighbors.
....you talk to friends and co-workers about something Matuari, Carju1, Minstrel, Mikmik, Rocky1, etc. said and you don't realize that you should explain who they are and how you know them.
....you insist that everyone should join WPW, even those who DO NOT own computers and are NOT connected to the internet.
....you actually go some where and wish you could ask the WPW community their opinion before making a decision.
....you look for proof that government officials are members of WPW and start questioning their ethics, sanity, and true commitment to their 'job' when you find out they aren't.

    And last, but not least......

....you feel like the whole day is ruined if you don't check WPW before you do anything else!

I dont know about dreaming about it...but I am sure I made a few posting while asleep!

....you know members and Mods by their first name, but couldn't tell anyone who your neighbors are, or if you even have neighbors.
Half my neighbours practically live here anyway, especially the teens, and they think you guys are funny! The girls love Wen! :-)

....you talk to friends and co-workers about something Matuari, Carju1, Minstrel, Mikmik, Rocky1, etc. said and you don't realize that you should explain who they are and how you know them.
After travelling the world a couple of times & staying with many of my net buddies, my family & friends are used to it :-)

....you insist that everyone should join WPW, even those who DO NOT own computers and are NOT connected to the internet.
LOL...why? They read everything on mine anyway!

....you actually go some where and wish you could ask the WPW community their opinion before making a decision.
    I admit to happening twice ! :-)

....you look for proof that government officials are members of WPW and start questioning their ethics, sanity, and true commitment to their 'job' when you find out they aren't.
    I'm still questioning OUR sanity !! ;-)

....you feel like the whole day is ruined if you don't check WPW before you do anything else!
Nothing like your morning cuppa & seeing what you guys have been up to here :-)

You wake up at 2:30 am and have to checkout the new threads or you won't be able to think.

You start to notice the threads you reply to die off rather quickly.

You use WPW to kill pain. (I find myself laughing far too much and forget about cronic back pain for a while)

Your partner (girlfreind in my case) gets jealous of the time you spend laughing at Wen and Cindy

WPW is the only social life you have.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who leaves wpw minimized all day - only I tend to have it minimized all night as well. :)

Another way to know you spend a lot of time on WPW...

.....you stop going to the library and book store for the latest books because you find them boring and outdated compared to the information you find in WPW.
.....You look forward to seeing what the latest wpw forum 'lingo' will be and who it will be associated with- e.g. giant guano, ghosts, Jello, fishing, etc.
.....you look forward to someone else stealing Carju1's hat.
.....you count the days until Matuari changes her picture just to see the increase in posts.
.....you eagerly anticipate new members joining in on the antics in the breakroom, because they provide a fresh perspective and add even more reasons to laugh or smile.

    And on Thanksgiving(today)....

....you rush home from a family get together just to make sure you didn't miss to many new posts! :)

    - You're answering family emails and find yourself typing in things like [quote="dad"]or Latest pics of the puppy...

    - You realize that almost all of the jokes you've annoyed friends and family with this month came from posts on WPW

    - Your sister sends you that "Programmer or Serial Killer" link and before you reply to her email you jump over to post it on WPW

    - You haven't paid the phone bill in 6 weeks because every time you start to do it you get another notification from WPW

I have to admit I was in a chat room yesterday and put .. instead of ...

I must also admit that apart from my girlfriend, with whom I live, and Sean who writes a lot of my PHP, I have only shown my new project to some members of this forum as I wanted their advice on various aspects.

You know you've been here to long when you know how to spell the members ID's without having to look back at their post.

Does being an MVP mean you've been here to much :-/ and if so what does that say about the Mods and Admins?

Not only ALL of the above, but I've noticed that we all seem to be thinking the same thing sometimes - how many times does someone post just what you've been thinking? (music from 'The Twilight Zone')

Mods? 50/50 The ones who DON'T spend to much time? Admin material (having a life keeps judgement in perspective)

Can't wait for e-mail notifications? Drag'n'drop URL from thread to desktop! Open all seperate windows - 'alt/tab'...
Babies don't need a vacation, but I still see them at the beach... it pisses me off! I'll go over to a little baby and say 'What are you doing here? You haven't worked a day in your life!'

I know when I've been on WPW too long...

I can tell that I've been here too long when I have five of the forums each open in a different browser tab (IE users won't understand, but 'Zilla and Opera users will) set to reload automatically every five minutes, just so I can catch the new posts as fast as possible.
