Thread: What's Up With Google?

    What's Up With Google?

I'm a bit of a Newbie at the Google stuff, so, maybe some of you more experienced people can help me out on this.

In the past few weeks I created special web pages which were "Item Specific", and were being ranked and listed extremely high at Google.

Today, I wake up to find that all of these pages have pretty much disappeared.

Google is, in fact, showing older versions of some of these pages.

Is Google doing yearly House Cleaning?

I'm just curious to know what's going on.

    Oh Really?

I set up most of these one page sites using keywords/phrases that are not so popular at Google in order to get the hang of how Google works. There are quite a few, and most ranked very high.

    http://arcticwhite.aqga.com/

    http://lepatch.aqga.com/

    http://klong-yaw.bamamama.com/

    http://buffalo-drums.bamamama.com/

    http://djun-djuns.bamamama.com/

    http://bendirs.bamamama.com/

    http://dholaks.bamamama.com/

    http://mridangams.bamamama.com/

These are a few. Google either shows a previously cached copy of some of these pages, which no longer exist, or shows no page listing at all.

This happened since yesterday. ( Today is Wednesday, Dec. 22 )

    Thanks for asking.

    Google is doing its cleaning/updating:

Over the past week ive watch as sites "one at a time" jumped in rankings from current position to new position back to current. I noted the times it was taking place 11 PM CMT the switching at 8 AM CMT - My site has stopped jumping and im hypothesising that it will jump into first place when they do the updates. Some of the jumps are into your new position that your site will be after the updates. I've never been 1st for my keyterm but when my site jumped it jumped Up and not down.

Hopefully we will see a PR update around new years. Not that i care about PR... its just that OTHER people do :-) $100/m PR6 link Gatta love the little green bar when its bringing you money!

    Thanks for the info.

Simply It is scary, when you got 2000 visitors in previous 33 days and then all your optimized pages simply disapears and the visitors stops! It is realy heart-stoping moment!

Hope pages will be back soon! I'd like to say - this is my first time with such a google tricks!

Maybe it's the whole sandbox effect. Make sure
you check your sites for the coding and see if
you didn't accidently do anything spammy.

    Thanks for the input!

I thought that I had made the "Search Gods" mad at me. I had numerous "one page" websites listed at Google, which suddenly disappeared, as well as a couple of pages that were moving up through the index very nicely for the appropriate keywords.

Then BAM! They either were completely erased, or reverted to older pages.

I'm trying my best to understand what Google looks for in its algorithms in order to get my sites/pages listed. It's very hard to do when they delete the stuff.

I hate it that we are all having this same problem. It also lets me know that it's not just me.

Thanks for your comments. It really helps.

    Happy Holidays everybody!

    Googles Index

    Hi there,

While Googles index is moving I think Davey's problem may be related to the fact that his sites are only one page.

Google is all about content and one page websites are not content oriented and so in Googles eyes not relevant.

Davey you would probably be better off in Googles Adwords campaign.
