Since you stated that "Smilies, in my opinion, are rather silly....." , I find it rather amusing that in at least 12 of your posts on Digital Points Forum, you have chosen to add a "silly smilie" to each post.

Me use smilies? ;o)
If they are there, people use them, including me. But I still think that in most forums they are abused -- first by the quantity available and second by the number per post. At least at Digital Point, you are required to post a message of a minimum length, which makes it difficult to post nothing more than a dumb line of animated smilies -- be honest: can you not think of several forums where this is common and where you can find several replies to an initial post which are nothing more than multiple smilies?
They are silly.
Oh come on, Minstrel, animated baby smilies are cute!Originally Posted by minstrel

Avatars are certainly amusing, but do give a forum a "crazy in-crowd" look.
Real photos communicate better to me.
But surely none of the photos are real - I mean they are all way too charming and vivacious ...
... and when my photoshop skills improve I will submit my own picture.
On the other hand, I don't think photoshop will be enough - sigh.
haha..i am still trying to find out..how to upload pic here....i mailed to one moderator here but no reply... :(
need any post limit or something?

Some of the supposed "real photos" of some members look like something I would not want to see allowed to run loose on the street. hahahaha
