Domain name with "dash/hypen" and .org

Are search engine popular with domain name with hypen and .org? whereever i am doin a search on various search i harldy see any website result with domain name with a dash/hype in the middle ex: one-two.com or a .org extension.
The reason i am asking this is because i want to launch a website with a famous keyword. but i have to get a domain name with a dash between two words.

One hyphen and .org are fine. I have sites that feature both and they do very well in Google.
