Does anyone know why a website hits drop from 85 a week to 5

Does any know why a website hits would drop from 85 to 5 in one week just for joining a link exchange program. The site www.best-homes-and-rates.com was growing until I added some banners to exchange links. I have a webpage counter and a tracking system (EXTREME)that display users, dates, url's, S/E's, O/S's so on. I got fairly good ratings, but now I don't the hits that I use to get. If you look at my site, very plain very simple good content. If you know how to use EXTREME, you can check it out.
