SEO Data, Stats, White Papers for Customer?

Hi.
I was wondering if there is/are a good source(s)for data, statistics, even white papers on the positive effects of a business utilizing SEO/SEM on their website. I would like to have something to show potential customers, starting with my very skeptical brother-in-law. ;)

Does anyone know where I could find some good stuff like this to place into my arsenal?

There's not a lot of data out there like you're suggesting, although you might find something at Danny Sullivan's Search Engine Watch. Also, I have written some material that might be helpful to you which I've published on my "Corporate" website.

I guess if I could even find basic data on things such as: users and viewing the first listing vs other listings in the serp, sponsored listings vs organic, first page of results vs other pages, etc.

I read a very interesting article once on how different age groups of people, as well as people with different levels of Internet "Savviness" all have different search/click behaviors, but I don't recall where that was located. That's good information as well, but would be more for me that the customer.

Anything that can show a potential customer the benefit of implementing SEO/SEM into their business' website.

I will take a look at your Corp site and see if some of this information may be available there.
