Is right click disabling has negative influence on SEO

    Hi

Can anyone give an advice on if "right click disable" does any damage to your site ranking or has any negative influence on it. My web business has been online for several months now and still there is no rank even thou i am trying to follow all the rules that search engines put into operation>

    Thank you!

Well, I'll give you my opinion.

Disabling right-click is done with javascript. As far as I know, there isn't a search engine out there that can handle javascript. Google is starting to make some progress here, but it is in an attempt to follow javascript links.

Since the spiders disregard javascript, I have a hard time imagining how it can have an effect either way.

    That's my reasoning, anyway.

NO negative effect. We've been using it.

Out of curiosity, why disable right-click? Anyone with enough of a technical interest to want to right click a page for access to source etc will be able to get around that *so* easily... why bloat yr code with futile JavaScript?

    Not criticising, just wondering...

    Thaks for all comments,

We have just got rid of java script anyway as we think that it is a little bit "rud" to have it on. Non profesional users would be to some extend embarrased or feel intimidated when they try to copy and paste some essential articles or even company telephone numbers what we would not mind here - it is I suppose a part of marketing program, on the other hand profs and hackers they would just laugh at it. There is no really point to have it on - and it doesnt impress people either, rather annoy them.
