Hi Max:
Sometimes the forum pages load slow for me and I am a DSL user. Why not switch to DSL?
Cordially,

Actually, sometimes the adverts are the culprits..... Occasionally, I am unable to load any page beyond where the advert code is, well for aout 35secs, it halts at something requesting from the xxx.ientry.com server (the ads no doubt?)....
All ads should be banished. Quality sells itself and will be found by purveyors of such. We have google to find what we want. Who needs flashing banners. Resign them to the double glazing industry with all the other SH**.
Unfortunately, we can't do that. We are a business with lots of expenses.Originally Posted by php~pro
However, we have had some real slowdowns with ad serving (due to huge traffic spikes) and we are looking into it. It seems to be running fine now though.
Thanks,
He may not have a choice -- I know I don't. There is a tendency to presume that people on dial-up are either technologically backward or too cheap to spring for the extra fees but in fact in many parts of the world either there ARE no other options or the only other options are prohibitively expensive.Originally Posted by amberstar702
This is true. At the office I have broadband available. At home, it's dial-up.There is a tendency to presume that people on dial-up are either technologically backward or too cheap to spring for the extra fees but in fact in many parts of the world either there ARE no other options or the only other options are prohibitively expensive.
At the time thread posting, I too noticed slow loading. Now it loads much faster for me.
