    Whistle While You Work

Do you listen to music as you work? If so, what do you listen to? What do you have playing right now?

Currently I have a playlist in my iTunes going with Neil Young (His new CD is phenominal), Rage Against the Machine, Robert Cray, and The Police.

Strange combinations, I know, but variety is the spice of life.

    in iTunes:
    "Bassdrive - Music Beyond"
    "Digitally-Imported's HappyHardcore.com"
    "Digitally-Imported's Goa & Psychedelic Trance"
    "BeatBlender"
    "Secret Agent"

    in the CD player:
    Relient K
    Switchfoot
    Sly's Alter Ego
    Paul Wright

    in the mp3 player:
DJ Paul Oakenfold - various mixes
    DJ Lithium - various mixes
    DJ Tiesto - various mixes

in the car (where I think about all the work I have to do):
Richard Humpty Vission progressive house mix
    Paul Oakenfold - Tranceport
    The Veldt - Afrodesiac
The Wild Swans - Bringing Home the Ashes
    ...and on the radio: M88

For design work (which occupies about 85% of my 24-hour day) I find that the faster the BPM, the better. Thus the Hardcore and Drum-n-Bass...

We listen to Yahoo's Launch radio station. There is a tiny monthly fee, but we get zero adds...and get to choose what music gets played.

Playing right now: Shine Down, .45

    Great song btw :)

Launch is remarkable. The more you interact with it, the better it gets. I usually don't subscribe to things I can get free, but the small fee is worth the sound upgrade and unlimited use.

    Here's my custom station:

I listen to Radio Paradise... www.radioparadise.com
they play the widest variety of music, and i love it all!

They are a listener supported radio station, and their website has tons of information about every song they play... user comments and ratings, where to buy, etc. etc.
