If the key phrase for example 'sell my domain' got lets say 10,000 searches last month in overture then

does it make 'sellmydomain.com' worth something?

and does that mean it will get higher rankings in search results for the same keyword (sell my domain)?

I use the same approach when finding domains to grab. This works well for me since most domainers prefer typing 'sellmydomain.com'into the overture engine. As long as the majority uses the latter approach, those domainers will miss out on some good domain opportunities.

In my experience, the type-in traffic I received for sellmydomain.com represented close to 10% of the search results of 'sell my domain'. Thus if 'sell my domain' gets about 10000 search results, then sellmydomain.com might get close to 1000 type-ins per month.

It should get some type-ins. But may not necessarily get good rankings on the search engines.

And what do you think of a domain name which does not get lots of searches but millions it exists in millions of pages. like I have a domain name "casuale.com" It does not get lots of searches but about 365,000 pages contain the exact term. Does that mean you have to strugle really hard to get that domain up in search rankings?

Touseef, Italian is my language so I know perfectly what casuale means.

Precisely it is not a word but an adjective and means accidental.

Sincerely I cannot imagine what website could be developped with this domain name and don't really know if many internet users would search for casuale.
