    Unanswered Page 2

When I'm looking at the unanswered posts, I'm often unable to go to the next pages. Clicking on "Next" or "Page x" doesn't matter.

It will usually say something like "No Topics Meet Your Criteria". I have found that if I delete the sid in the url then click on "Next" it will work.

I see this in FireFox. I haven't tested it in IE or Opera.

Hopefully someone else has noticed this and can back me up...

    Hack

Not that anybody cares, but I found a way around this problem.

You can just hack the url to remove the sid and add "&start=25" at the end. Then 50 for the third page, etc. The second page url would look like:

    http://www.webproworld.com/search.ph...wered&start=25

    Hey, stop rolling your eyes.

Awww.. flood6, we care, we really do! ;o)

Do you see the 'sid' value even after logging in? This 'session id' should disappear after logging in. I can see the 'search_id' as part of the querystring and it seems to work okay on unanswered posts. By the way, that's an awful lot of unanaswered posts don't you think! Anyone have a few hours to spare? :o)

    Thanks

    Thanks for caring, Paul.

You asking if I'm logged in when I see this helped me figure it out.

When I come to this site I type in www.webproworld.com/forum.php and from there open new tabs with the unanswered and egosearch then start wandering through the forums in the origional window. I'm automatically logged in when I get to the site.

I guess the sid is assigned before it checks for the cookie on the forum index page.

To test this I went to the home page, then to the forum index, then egosearch and unanswered, and got no SID. As a result, the "Next" and "1,2,3..." buttons also work.

Anyway, thanks for giving my question this undeserved attention, lol.

Yeah, I launched an attempt to get through the unanswered posts once; didn't get far.
