    Success Is A Choice!

    If you fail or succeed in life - It can be traced right back to something you did EVERY DAY OF YOUR LIFE!

    Success is predictable!

    It's based on following certain immutable laws that govern life.

    Consistently follow the principles of success and you MUST succeed - Don't and you MUST fail!

    The choice is yours!

    Whether we succeed or not is also based on what we tell ourselves and what other tell us.

    If we are constantly told, either by ourselves or by others that we can't succeed for whatever reason then we are more likely to fail.

    Whilst those who are constantly told that they can achieve, tend to do exactly that.

    Well, that's my idea of success anyway and it hasn't failed me yet.

    This quote is kind of an oxymoron, but truthful.

    It seems a ton of successful people, early in their career/life were told they will never amount to anything, and this spurs them on to acheive success.

    Yet some people are told they won't amount to anything, and maybe they dwell on that, I don't know, but they fail horribly.

    Same can go with the positive. I know people who have great parents, with tons of support who are nothing but criminals. And others who have the same support, do very well.

    So I think it's more on what you tell yourself, and what you believe.

    Nobody has mentioned wealth...material or otherwise.

    I met Donald Trump recently...and that evening had a discussion with my kids (boys 14 and 15) about success. We were sitting on our nice deck behind our, not too large but comfortable, house...near out above ground pool...relaxing. Sounds like success for us. Nice home, loving family, plenty to eat...'easy' life.

    The Donald on the other hand has everything money can buy (and more) two ex-wives, people following him around with cameras, people following him around with their hands out...sounds like success...TO HIM!

    As far as money is concerned, I don't think that it can bring happiness. However, not having enough money to live a comfortable lifestyle - basic shelter, food, transportation, etc. can bring great heartache.

    Success cannot be obtained by telling ourselves we will succeed alone. Yes, if we wake up each morning and say that we are going to have a great day, it is more likely than not that we will - a self fulfilling prophecy. But, sometimes circumstance gets in the way of success. Say you wake up and tell yourself you are going to have a great day, but then someone runs a red light, smashes into your car and sends you to the hospital. Would that be considered a great day? I guess to some they would say yes, it is a great day because I am still here on earth. To others, they would say it is the most horrible day they've ever had. So I guess success has somewhat to do with perspective. It also has to do with having the motivation and drive to follow through with what you know you need to do to find happiness and success in your life.

    Success means many different things to many different people. We all need to define our own idea of success, have the drive to go after it, tell ourselves that we will achieve it, and change our perspectives sometimes when "life" gets in our way. Having a great support system of friends and family is what will keep us all going...

    To me, success is happiness, contentment with yourself and your surroundings.

    Knowing that success is a choice is success.
    Defining yourself is success.

    Being responsible for your life, that is the ultimate success. and by life I mean attitude.
    Babies don't need a vacation, but I still see them at the beach... it pisses me off! I'll go over to a little baby and say 'What are you doing here? You haven't worked a day in your life!'
