    How to get advertisers?

Hi guys, I have a new website. I wish to know how to get advertisers/sponors. Also please give me advice on how to promote and improve it. Thanks!

Are you wanting to work directly with the advertisers or through a third party. If you are happy with someone else suppling the advertisers for you there are many programmes availible (Google Adsense - very popular). Or you could become an affiliate (using CJ or similar) but probably requires more work.

If you want to work directly with an advertiser then I imagine that they would want your site to be generating a very large amount of daily targeted traffic.

    Just my thoughts,

    Alex

Hmm...I think my only choice now is to work with third party yeah? How about letting me know which are the 'best' and 'worst' third parties, besides google and cj? in the sense their reliability and commission...

    Hey there,
the indicators which sponsor program performs better are CTR and EPC Click to ratio (link popularity) and EPC (Earnings per click). Look for niches in sponsors too, there can`t be AdSense and CJ everywhere around!!

The first thing sponsors will ask about during their initial die diligence is traffic (go figure). More sophisticated advertisers will likely consider link popularity and page rank. Many routinely use Alexa's traffic rank as an indicator of your site's popularity. Be prepared to explain where the traffic comes from.

If you can overcome these objections you'll be off to a good start.

You may also want to create a charter advertising program which is either free or value priced to reach out and start building relationships.
